Vandaag vergelijken we twee populaire zomerbanden voor touring, de Michelin Primacy 4 en de Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2. Beide zijn bekende opties op de markt, waarbij de Michelin Primacy 4 is geïntroduceerd als opvolger van de Primacy 3 en de Pirelli-band volgt op de Pirelli P7 Cinturato.
De Michelin Primacy 4 wordt geproduceerd in ES, DE en PL en heeft een beoordeling van 90% op ons platform. Het is vermeldenswaardig dat dit model is vervangen door de Michelin Primacy 4+ van dezelfde fabrikant. Aan de andere kant scoorde de Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 89% en heeft geen nieuwere band die hem vervangt, waardoor deze de nieuwste is in de zomerbandlijn van Pirelli.
Beide banden hebben verschillende tests ondergaan, maar we richten ons op onderlinge posities en testresultaten van Autobild, ADAC en ADAC 2021. In de Autobild test stond de Michelin Primacy 4 op de 5e plaats van de 53 banden, terwijl de Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 op de 2e plaats kwam. Vooral in natte remmen presteerde de Pirelli-band uitstekend, waardoor het een van de beste kenmerken in de test werd.
In de ADAC test stond de Michelin Primacy 4 ook op de 5e plaats van de 17 geteste banden. De beste kenmerken van deze band tijdens de ADAC-test waren: droog remmen, veiligheid en kilometrage. Ondertussen stond de Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 op de 9e plaats in dezelfde test, waarbij de prestaties relatief zwakker waren dan die van de concurrent.
Een andere test die in ADAC in 2021 is uitgevoerd, toonde aan dat de Michelin Primacy 4 zijn kracht heeft in de beste notities op droge wegcondities, evenals uitstekend kilometrage. Het vertoonde echter lichte zwaktes op natte oppervlakken, wat leidde tot een afwaardering.
Ter conclusie, zowel de Michelin Primacy 4 als de Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 zijn solide opties voor zomerbanden voor touring. Desalniettemin lijkt de Michelin Primacy 4 over het algemeen iets beter te presteren, vooral op het gebied van droog remmen en veiligheid. Het biedt ook uitstekend kilometrage, maar heeft enkele zwaktes op natte oppervlakken. De Pirelli Cinturato P7 C2 vertoont daarentegen een briljante prestatie op natte remmen, maar scoort lager in de algemene ranglijst in vergelijking met de Michelin-band. Als goed geïnformeerde bestuurder is het belangrijk om deze sterke en zwakke punten in overweging te nemen afhankelijk van uw behoeften en voorkeuren, evenals de heersende weg- en klimaatomstandigheden in uw omgeving.
