Vandaag vergelijken we twee populaire zomerbanden: Firestone Roadhawk en Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance. Beide banden hebben zich bewezen in verschillende tests, dus laten we ons verdiepen in de resultaten en hun sterke en zwakke punten ontdekken.
De Firestone Roadhawk behaalde een algemene beoordeling van 71% op onze website. Hij presteerde goed in de Autoklub ČR en ADAC tests en eindigde respectievelijk op de 11e en 4e plaats van in totaal 16-19 banden. De band viel op door zijn droge rijgedrag, veiligheid en remkracht op nat wegdek. In de Autobild-test stond hij op de 3e plaats van 51 vergeleken banden. Firestone Roadhawk is echter nog niet vervangen door een nieuwere versie.
Daarentegen presteerde de Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance uitzonderlijk goed met een uitstekende algemene beoordeling van 88%. Hij stond op de 8e plaats in de Autoklub ČR-test, waar zijn droge handling met name werd gewaardeerd, en op de 12e plaats in de ADAC-test met de beste kenmerken aquaplaning (dwars) en aquaplaning (lengte). Ook nam hij de 11e plaats in in de Autobild-test.
Het is belangrijk op te merken dat Goodyear al een opvolger van de Efficient Grip Performance heeft geïntroduceerd - de Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2, die naar verwachting nog betere prestaties zal leveren.
Kortom, beide banden presteerden lovenswaardig in verschillende tests. Terwijl de Firestone Roadhawk uitblinkt in droog rijgedrag, veiligheid en remkracht op nat wegdek, scoort de Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance beter in algemene testposities en is met name opmerkelijk vanwege zijn droge handling en aquaplaning eigenschappen. Bovendien heeft Goodyear al een nieuwere versie van de band geïntroduceerd, met waarschijnlijk verbeterde prestaties.
