In deze vergelijking zullen we in detail twee zomerbanden bespreken: de Continental PremiumContact 6 en de Michelin Primacy 4. Beide banden zijn goed ontvangen in verschillende tests en hebben een beoordeling van 90% in onze evaluatie. De PremiumContact 6 verving de Continental ContiPremiumContact 5, terwijl de Primacy 4 de Michelin Primacy 3 verving.
De Continental PremiumContact 6 liet indrukwekkende prestaties zien in meerdere tests. Hij behaalde de 2e plaats in Promobil, de 2e plaats in ADAC en de 1e plaats in Autozeitung. De band excelleerde op verschillende gebieden zoals nat remmen, natte cirkelbochten, droog remmen en handling, zowel objectief als subjectief. Het werd geprezen om een goed uitgebalanceerde band te zijn zonder grote zwaktes, die goede prestaties biedt op natte en droge wegen en een laag brandstofverbruik.
De Michelin Primacy 4 behaalde ook lovenswaardige posities in tests, waaronder de 1e plaats in Teknikens en de 2e plaats in Autozeitung. Deze band vertoonde uitzonderlijke prestaties bij droog remmen, brandstofefficiëntie, comfort en natte handling. Het vertoonde echter lichte zwaktes op natte wegen toen ADAC het testte, waardoor het iets werd verlaagd. Desalniettemin scoorde het topcijfers voor slijtage en droge handling.
Als we hun posities in gezamenlijke tests vergelijken, blijkt dat de Continental PremiumContact 6 de sterkere concurrent is, met name qua natte en algemene prestaties. Het biedt betere natte remming en handling, wat cruciaal is in de zomerse omstandigheden. De Michelin Primacy 4 scoorde echter hoger op aspecten zoals droog remmen en brandstofefficiëntie.
Concluderend komt de Continental PremiumContact 6 naar voren als de betere keuze voor bestuurders die uitzonderlijke handling en remcapaciteiten prioriteren met uitstekende prestaties in natte omstandigheden. Daarentegen is de Michelin Primacy 4 een meer geschikte optie voor automobilisten die brandstofefficiëntie zoeken gecombineerd met opmerkelijke droogremmen en rijcomfort.
